Experimental Musical Expressions
Join Steve Hoog for a fun filled evening of play using vocalizations and a variety of percussion instruments.
We will experiment with forms of chanting and other vocal expressions to create musical pieces that energize and lift our spirits. Some instruments will be available although participants can bring their own.
Steve will be drawing on his experiences from the Seventies when he was living with a group of people who regularly held “Human Development Sessions” in East Stroudsburg. These were intended to open peoples' horizons and develop better communications skills.
He has also attended a few workshops with Paul Winter where experimental musical expressions were explored and has some experience with African Drumming.
*Steve is also a Macrobiotic Health Counselor and Shiatsu Practitioner.
