Rocio will guide you through the Ashtanga primary series, breaking it down into three parts and helping you work through each asana in detail.

The Primary series is also known as “Yoga Chikitsa” (Yoga Therapy), the healing process of cleansing and toning for the body, mind and senses. This workshop is designed to help you learn, develop and advance your practice.

You will deepen your yoga experience through understanding the three key elements of Ashtanga (Tristana) while receiving individual attention with hands on adjustments. This is an asana-based workshop and you will practice in a supportive community environment.

This workshop is for all yoga practitioners; beginners will be able to learn the sequence and understand the practice and if you know the sequence you will learn subtle details in each pose to deepen your connection an enhance your practice.

This 1 day immersion provides a good starting place and solid direction for beginner and practicing students seeking guidance and experience with the yoga basics.
 
This workshop will include hands-on assistance and individual attention through basic poses to learn proper alignment, fundamental breathing techniques and meditation. Learn common yoga terms and the names of basic poses, as well as understanding class etiquette.
The use of props will be encouraged as the student learns to correctly self assess their personal restrictions for safety, efficiency and confidence in moving forward into the beautiful journey of yoga.
