Don started a formal meditation practice some 43 years ago and a few years later a Yoga postural regimen. He started teaching Yoga in 1997 and registered with the Yoga Alliance in 2001. He is currently registered as ERYT-500 and YACEP.
Having sat in front of many gifted teachers Don considers it a great blessing to share that experience with others. Multi certified, for the most part Don blends into his classes the ideals and sequencing of Sivananda Yoga, the progressive movements of Vini Yoga and the discipline of alignment of Iyengar Yoga. Far Eastern energy principles also influence his style. Now in his senior years he has become more aware of the value of moderation in lifestyle which includes his offering as a teacher of Hatha Yoga and the general principles of Ayurveda. He describes his classes as moderate and finds a special niche in meeting the needs of each class as they progress.
Bhagavad Gita, 6:17 The Yoga of Meditation:
"For that Yogin who is moderate in eating and recreation, who is moderate in exertion of action, who is moderate in sleep and wakefulness, Yoga becomes the destroyer of all pain and suffering."
